Getting a Surety Bond in Alabama

Surety bonds are required by government agencies across the state of Alabama. Bonding requirements in the automotive space are written to the Alabama Department of Revenue's Motor Vehicle Division for new and used motor vehicle dealers, designated agents, rebuilders, re-conditioners and wholesalers. Additionally, contractors may be subject to surety bonding by the Alabama state boards governing heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, residential roofing and plumbing or gas fitting contractors.
