Dealer License Service Surety Bonds

What is a West Virginia License Service Bond?

A Dealer License Service Bond is a type of surety bond required for businesses licensed by the West Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to engage in processing registration, ownership transfers, registration renewals, and other related DMV documents. The DMV requires a $25,000.00 surety bond. Unlike other WV dealer licenses and surety bonds, the license service licensing period expires on Dec 31st annually. For new dealers in this classification purchasing a surety bond during the year, the premium (cost) is adjusted for the portion of the year that the bond is used.

This bond is specific to the LS-License Service classification. See WV Dealer Bonds for surety bond requirements for all other classifications.
