Request a Rider

If you need to make a change to your bond, please complete the information below.
Rider requests take 1-3 business days to complete.

For the fastest processing, please have either your order number or your bond number available.

Surety Bonds Direct can only issue change riders for bonds that we issued.
If you did not purchase your bond from Surety Bonds Direct, we are not authorized by the surety to request any changes on your behalf.

Bond Rider Process

  1. Complete your bond rider request (this page).
  2. A bond specialist will review the changes and contact you with any questions within 3 business days.
  3. Your specialist will email you a link to review and approve the changes to the bond, shipping options, and any costs associated with the bond rider.
  4. Your official bond rider will be sent to you.
Rider change fees and/or adjustments to the premium for your bond can vary depending on the changes.

Contractor license bond? Title bond? Mortgage broker bond? etc.
Reference (please enter at least 1 of the following)
Your order number is not printed on your bond, but is in the subject line of emails from Surety Bonds Direct and generally begins with the letter "W".
The bond number should be on the upper-right of your bond.
What do you need to change?
If applicable, please be sure to include any DBA and verify that you have included any "Inc." or "LLC" at the end of your business name.
Company address change? Additional business location? New shipping or billing address? Which (if any) existing addresses are no longer valid?
