We’re looking for a full time PHP developer.
You will NOT be using Wordpress, Laravel, Symphony, etc. This is all custom PHP code. Those platforms and frameworks are great, but we want to be clear that if you can't take an empty file in your IDE and fill it up with clean PHP code then this is not a good fit.
We're sure that you've worked in all sorts of JavaScript, too. That's great. If you've worked in TypeScript for Angular that's ideal. Although the position is PHP at it's core, we'd like someone who can increasingly work in Angular to allow you to build full stack apps with Angular GUIs and supporting PHP API endpoints.
We are a high-growth insurance brokerage (Inc 5000 company) expanding our capabilities into broader insureTech suite of tools. We may commoditize the software down the road, but currently the focus is on continued growth.
This is an opportunity for someone smart and hard-working to work on projects that can drive business value.
Location, Location, Location
We have a strong preference for someone in Charleston, SC area so that s/he can most easily collaborate with the internal team including one of the company co-founders. That said, hybrid is fine and the individual does not have to be in the office every day as long as s/he is just as productive working from home.
If you’re not in Charleston, let us know about your remote working experience and we'll consider you for the position. You would need to come to Charleston for a week a few times per year.
That means that any submission that does not either have a Charleston-area address or an explanation of remote experience will be immediately disregarded!
