Surety Bond Administrator

Surety bonds are a very specialized insurance product. We do not expect that candidates will have surety bond, or even insurance, experience, but similar experience dealing with detail-oriented contracts or paperwork skills are certainly applicable (mortgage origination, banking, legal, payroll, accounting, etc).

The role will require keen attention to detail as well as some direct customer interaction, so we are looking for talented and enthusiastic individuals to ensure that our customers receive outstanding quality and service. Our business is national and spans hundreds of industries, so customer profiles vary widely.

As an administrator obsessed with quality, you will work with various insurance companies, their software/systems, and our internal software/systems to issue surety bonds. Success is about attention to detail and understanding process measurement and improvement.

As a bond administrator, you need to be a very efficient individual who can jump between various applications, browsers, etc swiftly without getting lost. There are hundreds of different forms (bonds) that need to be issued and there are dozens of different processes on how to do that. You'll interact with some customers proactively to get necessary signatures or misc additional data that is required for a given bond. You'll also work closely with partners at various sureties (insurance companies) to ensure that everything is processed quickly and correctly.

The job is located at our headquarters in the Park Circle area of North Charleston, South Carolina. The work environment consists of our spacious and comfortable contemporary industrial-loft-design office suite with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. An outdoor pavilion/park and numerous awesome restaurants, bars and shops are all adjacent to the office building.
