What is a South Carolina Commercial Driver Training School Surety Bond?
The Commercial Driver Training School Surety Bond is a bond furnished to the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles by licensed Commercial Driver Training Schools. The purpose of the surety bond is to indemnify any student or legal representative of the student who is financially harmed by fraud, fraudulent representation or violation by said bonded principal, instructors, or representatives acting on behalf of the principal in the scope of employment. The surety bond also ensures compliance with the provisions of Title 56 of the South Carolina Code of Laws relating to driver training schools and the offering of driver education courses.
