Iowa Bonded Title / Certificate of Title Bonds

A Title Bond (also known as a Bonded Title, Certificate of Title Bond, Defective Title Bond, Lost Title Bond Vehicle Title Bond or DMV Bond) allows a vehicle owner to claim ownership and register the vehicle with the state of Iowa. The bond amount required is equal to 1.5 times the value of the vehicle as determined at the Iowa Department of Transportation with an the appraisal. Applicants need to verify their required bond amount with the Iowa Department of Transportation prior to requesting a bond or bond pricing. The DoT will provide you with a bond form.
