Public Adjuster Bonds And Getting Your Iowa Business License/Registration

Those individuals who want to become either a resident or non-resident public adjuster in the state of Iowa need to apply for a license through the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) online system. Licensed resident public adjusters must also pass the state of Iowa's licensing examination. Pearson Vue should be contacted at 877-540-5825 to register for the examination. Exam test results will be electronically submitted to the NIPR online system and the results are valid for 90 days. Evidence or financial responsibility such as posting a surety bond is required as part of the application process. More information can be found on the licensing process by reviewing the Iowa Insurance Division public adjuster administrative rules in Iowa Administrative Code chapter 55.
